The materials you will need

- Sand paper

- A mixing bucket and drill

- Five gallon bucket

- Trowel

- Four foot level nylon string

- Floor levelling compound

After finding them, stretch the nylon string across the spot and attach a string to the high points of the floor on both sides of the lower regions. Later on, use them as reference while starting to smoothen and spreading in the floor leveler.

Thereafter, add water and levelling powder to a 5 gallon bucket and mix them using mixing bit and drill. Then spread the mixture until the floor is levelled with the reference string. Also, ensure that the floor is kept clean prior to applying the floor leveler. After that, you must wait for the floor to dry and then sand away any roughness with course sand paper.

What is self levelling?

Many people think self levelling as when you pour a mix batch in the centre of the room and it will take care of itself. However, this is not so. It means that mixture of water and powder has a low viscosity to allow materials to seek its own level before setting. Here, the material must be taken to different site with smoother and gage rake.

The process is very simple here. First, you must clean the concrete place, sweep away the debris and dirt and wash the place with water. Then, leave the place to dry and determine the crack in the place for restoration. Wet the cracks with water and let it run through the cracked region.

Finally, mix a small amount of concrete a little thick than advisable. If the package direct to thick paste, you can apply the paste over the cracked areas. You can also use a trowel to press the substance into the crack, filling it to the top. As the concrete get stiffed, you can make straight edges by running the trowel along the existing edges.
